AT&T announced today that Visual Voicemail is now available to BlackBerry Bold customers. The new Visual Voicemail feature will allow users to selectively handle their voicemail messages in a manner similar to an e-mail inbox.
The AT&T announcement lists these additional features:
- Review and delete messages from your Visual Voicemail or Messages inbox
- Store up to 40 messages for 14 days in your inbox
- Save important numbers to your contacts
- Reply to messages via return call, SMS, email, or MMS
- Share messages by forwarding via email or MMS
- Save audio of messages to device memory or to memory card
Visual Voicemail is available to both existing and new BlackBerry Bold customers. Existing Bold users will need to update their software to version v4.6.0.508 which includes the Visual Voicemail application.
New BlackBerry Bold devices preloaded with the Visual Voicemail application should start arriving at AT&T stores by mid to late September.
