Should the Federal Trade Commission Take a Second Look at Apple?

The New York Times reported back in May that the Federal Trade Commission was investigating the violation of antitrust laws related to Apple and Google sharing two board members on their boards of directors.  Apple may have crossed another line by creating a software monopoly for the iPhone.  This issue has yet to catch the attention of the Federal Trade Commission.

Porting an iPhone Application to Windows Mobile

A case study for porting an iPhone application to Windows Mobile was recently published by the Windows Mobile Developer Center within the Microsoft Developer Network.  A post on the Windows Mobile Blog offers further perspective on the process.  The study produced a ported iPhone app that ran successfully on an HTC Touch Pro with a beta version of Windows Mobile 6.5.  The author made the follow conclusion of the process.

Google Voice Mobile Apps for BlackBerry and Android

As Google continues to send invites for their Google Voice service, they have announced mobile apps for BlackBerry and Android.  The announcement describes the app’s integration with the phone’s contacts which allows calls to be made via Google Voice right from the contact list.  You must have a Google Voice account to use the new mobile app.
